While low- and no- calorie sweeteners (LNCS) are commonly used as a substitute for sugar in drinks, there are far more applications beyond beverages. It is important for RDNs to understand current consumer trends in regard to LNCS, as well as their use in various food and beverage products, and the implications for clients with diabetes.
