Here’s Looking at You, Postprandial! Strategies for Managing Post Meal Glucose Levels

Sponsored and Hosted by: LifeScan Diabetes Institute

Glucose elevations after meals are associated with higher A1c values and linked to increased risk of cardiovascular complications. Gary Scheiner MS, CDCES and Mary Lou Perry MS, RD, CDCES will focus on issues surrounding postprandial glycemic control in patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.  Measurement of glucose excursions, damaging effects, goals/targets for various populations, and practical strategies (nutrition, medication, physical activity) for effective management of these glucose spikes will be reviewed.
