Publication Name Change FAQ

1. Why did DDPG change the name of ‘On the Cutting Edge’ to ‘Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care’?

Diabetes DPG Leaders developed the new name to include two main components of diabetes education: nutrition and care. We aim to have “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care” become searchable, for research purposes. This will elevate the credibility of our publication. We feel the name change will better reflect the level of scholarship within.
      

2. Has the publication changed beyond the name?

Yes. The format and mission of the publication remains the same. However, publication is expanding the types of articles to include primary research, systematic reviews as well as authorship.
     

3. Will CPEU credits still be free to DDPG members for the “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care” quizzes?

Yes, CPEU credits will still be free to DDPG members. Non-members can still subscribe for a fee in the EatRight Store.
     

4. How do I access “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care”?

DDPG will continue to mail the issues to the address on your Member Profile. We also archive the publication electronically on our website for members only.
     

5. Is it still available in print and will I still receive a hard copy in the mail?

Yes, DDPG will still continue to mail a hardcopy of “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care” to DDPG members.
      

6. How often will I receive “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care”?

DDPG will continue to publish 3 issues between June 1-May 31.
       

7. Is there an acronym for “Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care?” similar to “OTCE”?

“Cutting Edge” or CENDC could be used.
