Webinar: Research, Writing, and Publication 101: Yes, You Can Be an Author!

    Oct 29, 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (CT)

This webinar will discuss how the process of sharing research-based project results in peer-reviewed publications works. While many practitioners have an idea of how sharing scientific writing happens, it can also be an ambiguous process – with the comments of editorial reviewers sending mixed messages. This presentation will strengthen participant knowledge of the process for publishing studies and articles. Participants can expect to learn more about strategies for selecting a publication venue and focusing on action steps to implement in the research and writing process. Takeaways include strategies to use for both the writing process, as well as practices to use in the on-going editorial publication process. This webinar is suitable for science writers of all experience levels.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Articulate ways the writing and publishing process for peer-reviewed, research-based projects functions.
    2. Identify key elements to consider when submitting to peer-reviewed and research-based outlets.
    3. Select writing and communication strategies to use when publishing research-based projects.
