This webinar gives you practical scripts and shortcuts to handle the toughest scenarios in diabetes coaching confidently. Learn how to stay supportive (and real) while helping clients move forward. We’ll focus on seven sticky session situations: · Tears and strong emotions · Diagnosis denial or believing their situation isn’t serious · Outdated or inaccurate beliefs · Family sabotage and social pressure · Life crises · Medication or healthcare gaps · The one really bad habit You’ll walk away with what to say, how to say it, and coaching mindset shifts you can use in your very next session, without shutting clients down or losing rapport. The included cheat-sheet toolkit makes it easy to put these skills into practice.

    • Use conversation strategies that reduce resistance and support acceptance of diabetes as a manageable condition.

    Treva Garcia, RDN, NBC-HWC, ACSM-CPT is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, National Board–Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and the founder of Real Healthy Habits, a group insurance-based private practice in Huntsville, Alabama. Treva specializes in coaching-based medical nutrition therapy. She teaches dietitians exactly what to say and do in session to help clients with diabetes and other chronic conditions make real, sustainable changes. Treva believes that the hard part of behavior change isn’t knowing what to do - it’s actually doing it in real life. That’s where coaching conversations and skills make all the difference. She is committed to giving RDs practical tools, language, and confidence to lead more effective sessions, so clients feel supported, capable, and ready to follow through.

    Strategies for Optimizing Patient Outcomes with Emerging Weekly Insulin Therapies

    Hosted in partnership with Decera Clinical Education with support from an educational grant from Lilly.

    The goal of this webinar is to improve the knowledge and competence of healthcare professionals regarding the latest evidence on weekly insulin formulations in development, equipping healthcare professionals with the skills needed to incorporate emerging therapies once available by identifying appropriate patients, analyzing recent evidence for novel and emerging therapies, and counseling patients on the safe use of these therapies to achieve glycemic goals in patients with T2D.

    This educational activity is intended for certified diabetes care and education specialists and other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with type 2 diabetes, including registered dietitian nutritionists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and pharmacists.

    • Evaluate strategies for diabetes educators to maximize patient glycemic control
