Diabetes-Friendly Recipe Contest

Findings from multiple, peer reviewed studies show that just adding one more serving of beans is positively associated with overall nutrient intake, nutrient adequacy, diet quality and biomarkers of health.1,2,3 The body of research underscores the integral role of pulses in the management of type 2 diabetes and the enhancement of glycemic control.4 Further, recent studies show swapping out grains or animal protein for beans improves diet quality and enriches the diet with important nutrients including (among others) protein, fiber, iron and potassium.

We are aiming to show consumers how easy it is to add more beans to their diet and need your help!
