Miriam Erick published "Take Two Crackers and Call Me in the Morning! a real-life guide for surviving morning sickness" in 2019. ISBN: 978-0-9613063-9-7. Thirty-eight true-to-life cartoons provide levity as this book describes the misery nausea and vomiting of pregnancy can generate. Book includes excerpts from letters of the late Charlotte Bronte as she struggled with this malady, unsuccessfully. Includes references. As an antenatal RD @ Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston for over 37 years, Miriam has cared for hundreds of women with hyperemesis gravidarum. Her first book on morning sickness nutrition "No More Morning Sickness" won the Pyramid prize by the NE American Medical Writers' Association in 1994.

"Altered Sensorium Gestosis (ASG) is common in Hyperemesis Gravidarum" and "Are Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG)- related Intrauterine fetal demises (IUFDs) a consequence of gestational malnutrition?" For the past 26 years, Susan has been working with patients in her Long Island office.
