Join DDPG

The membership year runs from June 1 through May 31.

You must be a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to join DDPG.

To add the Diabetes DPG to your membership and you have already renewed your Academy membership, please go to www.eatrightPRO.org, sign in, and click on My Academy. In the My Groups section, please click Add Groups. Next, select the group(s) that you want and make your payment at the end.

If you have not renewed your membership, you can add DPGs and/or MIGs when joining or renewing your Academy membership.

Dues

There are three ways the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members can join DDPG: online, by phone or by mail. Non Academy members can subscribe to the DDPG publications if they are not eligible for Academy Associate Membership. Read more about newsletter subscription below.

Concurrent membership in the Academy of Nutrition and  Dietetics is required. The membership years are June 1 through May 31st. Memberships are not prorated and are accepted for the current year May through February 28th of each year.

DDPG is a dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Membership is open to all Academy members. For further information on Academy membership, visit the Academy Web site or call the Academy Accounting office at (800) 877-1600 x4884.

Once you have joined DDPG, Academy will inform us and you will start receiving the benefits of being a member, including back issues of our publications.  Email and website access should only take a few days to start, but back issues of publications maybe take a few weeks. Member Benefits

Regular Member

The Regular Member category is the Academy’s largest membership category. Regular members can enjoy all the benefits the Academy and Diabetes DPG has to offer, including career, professional and continuing education resources. The Regular Membership category encompasses:

  • Individuals who have completed an ACEND-accredited dietetics program
  • Individuals with advanced degrees in an approved area of concentration
  • RDs/RDNs and DTRs/NDTRs

Student Member

The Student Membership category is for pre-professionals enrolled in (or stating their intent to enroll in) an approved dietetics education program or enrolled in a Dietetic Internship. Student category members enjoy reduced dues while gaining access to the vast majority of benefits. Active members enjoy, including career resources and scholarships.

The Student classification carries an eight-year limit.

Retired Member

Individuals who qualify for the Academy's Active category and who are no longer gainfully employed in dietetics practice and are at least 62 years of age qualify for reduced membership dues so they may maintain their Academy membership to remain connected to their profession and colleagues.
